Review: Liese Bubble Hair Colour Platinum Beige

on

The Liese hair dye review for Cassis Berry was such a huge hit on my blog, largely drawing readers from all across Sunny Singapore who wishes to know the 50-50 (or 80-20) outcome of this bubble hair dye.

So I decided to be adventurous (yeah and crossing my figures that I don't go bald due to frequent dying of hair) and try on the Platinum Beige from Liese. Yes it is an encore, with a different twist as an outcome because...

The colour 'Platinum Beige' barely made my hair look anything beaigy, but mocha black - Mocha due to previous Palty hair dye + saloon dye FTW soon, me hair roots will be rotten to shits.

I won't advise you to choose this colour if you are born to have thick coarsely hair - like me - because I swear to god the picture on the box is an untrue representation of what Platinum Beige would look on any hair type because there is no way the bubble dye will allow you to have a hair colour that is way too light. Since after all, it is just a bubble dye - close to 80% water content , yes it is very watery.

So my hair dye hocus-pocus experience with Liese Platinum Beige didn't make me have stunning locks like those jet-set models. I think I shall work on keeping my mane as healthy as possible with cosmetic Olive Oil.

Chao bella!

Do Your Holiday Shopping Online

[Ad]

As the holidays approach, many people are dreading the thought of going out, spending money and fighting with the crowds. Many of us are thinking, what happened to the thought that counts, and not the time spent fighting the masses to obtain the latest “it” toy or gadget? The great majority of us are wondering just how much we can do from the comfort of our own chairs so that we can avoid the holiday madness.

The answer to that question is that you can do a great deal from the comfort of your own home. With daily deal sites abounding, you will be able to find everything from gift baskets to sight seeing and weekends away without ever leaving your home office. In fact, there is pretty much nothing that you can buy out in the “real world” that can’t be purchased online, and purchasing items online often leads to greater savings than can ever be found in the shops. After all, shop keepers must maintain a physical presence, inventory and staff, along with staff benefits and all of the other accompanying costs that come with running a physically based business. Those costs are by necessity passed along to the consumer.

If you are tired of paying top dollar for everything that you buy, it might be time to start shopping daily deal sites such as Groupon. With deals from international as well as local merchants, manufacturers and everything in between, you can most likely complete your entire holiday shopping list in a couple of days, while staying at home and saving money. The thought is still there for sure, but the headache and stress of fighting with everyone in the stores, managing traffic and finding a parking place, as well as paying inflated prices is gone, allowing you to better enjoy the holiday season.

With all of your holiday shopping out of the way, you can sit back, relax, and focus on what the holidays should be about, namely spending time with friends and family, and reflecting on the year gone by. You can enjoy watching your loved ones open their presents without reflecting back on the agony it was to go out and purchase them. And, with all of the savings that you generate by doing your shopping online, you might even be able to treat yourself to a spa day, and definitely if you purchase your spa day using Groupon!

The 2012 Resolution

What will 2012 has in store for me?

Definition: A New Year's resolution is a commitment that a person makes to one or more lasting personal goals, projects, or the reforming of a habit.

Instead of creating new resolutions this year, I am going to recollect my 2011 resolutions and recall if I actually had them resolved!

2011

1. Be a better girlfriend.
Oh yes, I think I've been good and cuddly throughout the entire year. I can't recall when is the last time we had a big quarrel (a norm in every relationship, right?) BUT I had my mischiefs and I hope 2012 I'll be more matured in handling my relationship problems more ANONYMOUSLY instead of hurling virtual complains via twitter. I love you but I still don't know what will it take for you to marry me. Haha, no wait. I am serious(ly joking). Not.

2. Get a good job.
Yes, I am happy with my job! On my way to be an accomplished accountant.

3. Go out more often with friends.
I TRIED. I shall consider this done for. But I will continue my pursuit in 2012. Still pending a girls night out with my colleagues to KuDeTa.

4. Make new friends.
Honestly I am more interactive with guys. I consider girls as threats. When I talk to new girls, I take note of their hair, their complexion, their fashion sense and I get so cautious of myself sometimes I just shut my mouth. I feel more at ease with guys probably because they don't judge me as much (and I don't judge them too) so yes. Maybe I need more guy friends, baby! I made some new ones. I consider my resolution accomplished.

5. Stay healthy.
Well, I did fall sick a couple of time. Seasonal flu they call it. I believe personal health is very important. You can wish for good health, but it is only possible if you take measures to keep yourself healthy. For me, I ate alot of (chicken) meat and 2011 is the year that I found true love in eating vegetables. Salads and greens are my new found friends! Oh yes, I accomplished this.

With that, my resolutions for 2012 ....

2012

1. Enjoy life, smile,laugh and don't be a wet-blanket you straight-laced bitch.
I hate being questioned "are you ok?" at any gathering or over the dinner table. I know I have a boring face dear, but I'm trying! I will go for a Botox to have higher cheekbones if I could! You know Zooey Deschanel? I love her character, both on and off screen! She is like a ball of giggle and humour. I would very much love to be just like her. The typicality of humans - wanting to be just like that other person - but I suppose she counts as my role model. Onward! *pumps to the song I'm Sexy and I Know It --wiggle wiggle wiggle*

2. Be progressive, work-wise.
I hope to work harder this year for a better position at work. I hope to be rewarded for my hard work some time soon too.

3. Learn something new.
I have been itching to actually pick up mandarin as my 3rd language, after much failure in Z teaching me some mandarin. He insists my pronunciation is wrong. I don't GET IT still, I am sure I will get it some day.

4. Start on my investment portfolio.
I know I sound ambitious. But we all have to start somewhere if we want that Car, House etc yougetwhatimean. I am not born with a diamond spoon hence I put alot of effort in making sure I study hard enough, to be smart enough, to earn much money, to help myself be the person that I always wanted to be. And  Z pesters me: Save money and open a Restaurant for me leh!! Me thinks: How demanding! But if I do that, I will be your Boss. That sounds like a good idea. Muahaha.

I have a good feeling that 2012 is going to be spectacular. Have a good *insert offensive word* year!!!!!

2011 was good. GIVE ME AN ENCORE in 2012!!

50 Dollar Reward

on ,
I just remembered a little token I received when I had my PSLE results. When I told my Cikgu I received an A for Malay Language, she called me to the office, and told me here's to my hard work and passed a gigantic $50 note to my tiny palms. Hmm I wonder why I didn't tell my parents about it. Possibly because I worry my mother will take away my reward!

Yesterday lady boss said, You know, if YOU can solve this, I will reward you.

I don't know if that is a good or bad thing? Working for the notion that you are hoping to get something in return as opposed to getting an unexpected reward.

No,wait, maybe in the corporate world it is different?

Malays are Pinoys? Yes!

on
I told my colleague, who is a Pinoy, that we Malays share almost the same language as them. She shared to me something that almost made me fall off my chair.

She shared:

"Back in my hometown in Manila, if we are given a form to fill in our particulars and was asked what is our "race", we will answer "Malay". But when we are in Singapore, we were told not to put "Malay" as the option, but "Filipino" instead."

Oh wells, that answers all the mistaken identities thus far. "Are you a Pinoy?"

What a gob dropping realization!

So the joke was the Chinese belong to China, Indians belong to India so... Malays belong to Malaysia right?

This is so false!

Malays *might* belong to the Philippines!

Yikes!

The Club at Marina Bay Sands Level 57

It's superb. I had chocolate buffet with chocolates combing every inch of the marble table slab. I had to hand pick my favourite cocoa masterpieces although they all look so good! You have got to try this! 10/10 stars!
