Photoshoot - Rated S (for SIM)

Who would have guessed it right as to why I was dressed so "formally" yesterday. NO! It was not because i had an interview earlier (sadly not) , but because ME, Tran Hoang Tram, Kim Sang Won and Mr Seet Min Kok had a crazily funny photoshoot for the Sim Vibes Magazine - the fourth installment for 2009.

So yes, there was make-up and hair do-ing involved. Exciting or what?! (I love the blusher palettes! And check out the
Pink hair dryer!)

That is
Kim being made up. He was powdered, eyelined, and blushed. And the result? He looked like he's stripped off right from a Korean drama series! Well, he IS from Korea after all. Rafiq the cam man, shoots anything that he sees while Wai Shin (somewhere in the background) running around to "find blazers".

2.5 hours later: Le product.

Ok
lah, I look like alien. Super alien. More alien than this because of the blazer:

The photoshoot went rather well, with the 3 of us pretending to be interested with what Mr Seet was teaching. According to
Tram : I didn't understand what he was talking about; it was like I hear bees buzzing around my ears.

Haha! Good one! Because I was feeling that way too. OPPS!

But, I love the French Twist. It was nicely urm...twisted.

Guess how many hair pins were used?

16 pins which was supplemented with a good dosage of hard-hold hairspray!!!!

T'was fun! But surely, the day had to end with me going for
LAW lesson at 7pm! :(

Oh, I'm feeling rather random today so here are a few overdued pictures!

Z's birthday!

Unagi pizza which tasted and smelled fishy

Z's muffins that I got to bring home and gobble all of them.
I'm a monster, I know.

Pregnant Without Any Male

You'd probably read this somewhere before but if you have yet to know ... Tidbit, a female shark was found pregnant, although there was no male shark in the tank!!!

Read more at Shark Pregnant, No Males Required

If a she-shark can do it, there are definitely possibilities of us humans being pregnant without having any sort of intercourse.
One word: AMAZING!

Look at it this way :-

1. (if you are a parent) No need to pressure your daughter to get married for the fear that she will end up being an old maid.
2. No need to find the perfect man.
3. You can be a lesbian all you want and still be a mother AND father at the end of the day.

But on the other side...

1. People will lose the meaning of love.

If i can be alone and conceive a baby, why would i need a man to be here with me? Run a one woman show! Of course it's possible -just look at how our single mothers are doing these days! But in other words, you will no longer hear wedding bells, see fathers video-camming the child's birth et cetera.

So god forbid! Don't let these scientists mess around with god's will and let nature take its course.

The Simplest Pleasures In Life

The other day, a radio station's topic of the day was...

"what is YOUR simplest pleasure in life?"

One caller said it is when he gets to see her husband and kids happy and healthy.
Another caller said it is when he finished paying all his bills.
And subsequently a caller called in and said it is when he gets to fart all he wants. :0

Well, some people believe that it is the simplest things in life that brings utmost endless joy in people. I believe in this. Because for me, I am overjoyed when...

I get to drink something "Happy". People say being drunk makes you h-h---happy, but i think this tonic mixture of F&N Cherry with condensed milk is really magical. And the name of the drink is ... Soda Gembira (literally means Happy Soda).

Yes, it's PINK!

It's not too sweet like Bandung drink, but it's definitely soda-pop tasty and it makes me happy!

I love to eat more than drinking, as such... nothing beats all kinds of food like a load of golden fries, sprinkled with beef and ...CHEESE!

Beef chili cheese fries or Chili Beef Cheese Fries or Cheese Chili Beef Fries - which ever way you choose to pronounce it, this is the magical box that I love love love so much from Carls Jr.
This costs only $4.90!

And if you are a stay-in-Singapore Singaporean, be thankful for where you are, because for me, my third simple pleasure in LIFE is when I (finally) get across the Causeway and pass Singapore custom EVERYDAY!

I miss home so badly

I don't know what I'll do without that bridge. So kesian (pitiful) right? By the way, it's just a 1 hour ride from my house to Singapore -it's like traveling from Hougang to SIM.

AND if you are thinking about the most tormented episode in my life is when...

I have a massive junk to pack and unpack on a (supposedly) laid back SUNDAY.
My new furniture is here is the new wardrobe is "too small for my trunks of junks clothes"

But on the brighter side, I have a MASSIVE HUGE STUDY TABLE -omg- AND IT'S PRE-OWNED by a PROFF from _ _ _ . Yes, we are renting his house.

And talking about mess...

Debris in the house (and I'm not talking about dust bunnies) is what I hate. Hello, I am like so allergic to any sort of dust please.

Well, I'm well at the new home now.

The house is beautifully painted and no more staining yellow wallpapers! (My room is not PINK or BABY BLUE, sadly, but old grayish brown walls -yuck!)

So, what is YOUR simplest pleasure in life?

1st night at the new house, so wish me a good night rest, yes?

And like I'd always say : Don't catch the Monday blues!!!
